Washington Park Development Plan

Washington Park is a signature park near downtown and surrounded by valuable homes.  One of Portland’s oldest parks, dating back to the 1890s, much of the functionality had been lost through incremental “fixes”.  While the park is clearly a community and regional asset, the dynamics of stakeholders resemble that of a small neighborhood park.  Working closely with neighbors and community stakeholders, the project redefined the entry, circulation, rose garden and the new holocaust memorial, providing holistic solutions.
