Community centers and architectural projects

The process for the design and construction of buildings is basically the same as site projects.  Nevertheless, as an object rather than fabric, there is a different feeling that the project engenders.  The community senses that a building is perhaps more permanent and often a more substantial investment.  Architectural programming is detailed and important as square foot costs are high.  Maintenance, operating costs and cost recovery are key topics.  Also there is a strong sense of identity and legacy with buildings

The projects listed below were completed by a large team of people.  Janet’s role was typically project manager or manager of staff on the project.
